Another Palestinian medic has been killed – when will the UK take real action?

Another Palestinian medic has been killed – when will the UK take real action?

The death of another Palestinian health worker shows that, despite continued warnings from Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and our supporters, impunity is fuelling recurrence.

On 3 May 2019, 36-year-old Palestine Red Crescent Society paramedic Mohammed al-Jedeili was working to provide first aid to protesters injured at the ongoing “Great March of Return” demonstrations in Gaza. He was struck in the face by a rubber-coated steel bullet which fractured his skull. He was initially treated for his injuries at hospitals in Gaza, and when his condition worsened was transferred out of Gaza to al-Ahli hospital in Hebron in the West Bank. He died on 10 June.
