Palestinians are struggling for survival in the deadliest place on earth for civilians.
Trapped. Starved. Bombed. Surrounded by Israeli forces, with many of those who try to flee being shot at.
Palestinians in North Gaza are living under a suffocating and tightened siege. Children are being bombed while they play on street corners. People are being attacked as they search for food for their families.
There is no safe place for Palestinians in the north to flee to. In central Gaza, the Israeli military’s attacks have resulted in displaced people being burnt alive in their tents. According to a recent UN inquiry, Israel has deliberately attacked healthcare workers and facilities, and committed war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination in Gaza. The existential threat facing Palestinians is real.
The UK must act urgently to protect Palestinians from extermination in Gaza.
Dr. Hossam Abu Safieh is the Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital which is threatened by Israel’s forced displacement orders. He reports:
“For the past ten days, Israeli forces have not allowed the entry of medicines, food or water. We are now providing medical care at the bare minimum and have exceeded our capacity. We are on the verge of running out of medical supplies and medicines, as well as food. There is not enough food for both staff and the injured children.”
The UK government has taken direct action when pushed by MPs facing constituency pressure.
Will you email your MP now and urge them to end arms sales to Israel and act to uphold international law? We must keep up the pressure.
We will not stay silent while Gaza is being erased and people are burning.
The UK Government must hold Israel accountable, and put real pressure on Israel to stop attacks on civilians the forcible expulsion displacement of Palestinians from north Gaza.
